Marshall Gulch Backpack

Get a taste of what our fellow scouts are experiencing at Philmont this year!
The hike leaves Marshall Gulch along the Aspen trail to the Wilderness of Rocks Trail. We'll camp around the intersection of Wilderness of Rocks and Lemmon Rock Trails. We may return a different way along the Aspen Trail on Sunday. The boys will determine this over the Saturday night campfire. Either way, the entire round trip is about 4.7 Miles
All water for two days must be carried.(Although you May be able to filter some if there is creek water) Scouts are responsible for bringing their own food for the whole trip. Include hot chocolate and snacks! Freeze-dried food really works well, or MREs.
This is a back pack hike. To determine what to bring, please review chapter 8 and 9 of the Boy Scout Handbook. Pay special attention to the checklists! If you forget it, you will need to do without.
